Fielding #1: A Guided Bird Walk

Date + Time: Sunday, March 5th, 9:30AM
Location: Inwood Park, NYC
Meeting Spot: West 218th Street (Link to map)

We are excited to go for an easy winter walk, look and listen in Inwood Park, NYC, with Nadir Souirgi. This will be a great chance to observe some of the many dynamic birds that overwinter in NYC, those that migrate to the park during the winter season, and others that live year-round amongst us. We will be returning to Inwood Park in late April for another bird walk focusing on migratory species.

Nadir Souirgi was introduced to birdwatching by a close family friend at the age of 5. From 2010-2021 he founded the Harlem County Bird Club to introduce birdwatching to his students. Nadir has worked as a bird guide for NYC Audubon, a bird and environmental justice organization focusing on education and research. He is currently an MFA candidate in painting at the Yale School of Art.
